Book shelves part 3
Book shelves part 3
Well it’s three years since the last entry.
I’ll cover the intervening period elsewhere but I thought it opportune to mention the latest book shelf update, seeing it will follow on from the previous post.
I was hoping to reconfigure our home studio area to open up the space that is currently divided by low partitions. There is a large painting (3m wide x 2.2m high) on part of a wall where we need some shelves. A bit like those 15 square puzzles the process is as follows:
•dismantle existing shelves (yes I know!)
•construct new shelves on opposite wall (back of shelf unit)
•move painting to wall where shelves used to be
•re-erect shelves on wall (where painting was) this will be in two long rows (6.8m) rather than four. This is the beauty of the continuous cantilever bracket.
The photo shows the new shelves up and stacked: novels on the length and reference on the near end.
