Project experience
A5 Architects has experience in the design of controlled environments dating from 1985. Our expertise has been developed in complex projects for the pharmaceutical industry where requirements for sterility in product manufacture and testing is paramount.
The major thrust of our practice is in the industrial field with occasional work on commercial projects. Major projects in the commercial field include offices for the Institute of Drug Technology, Kitchen & Amenities at the Sikh Temple (Gurdwara) in Blackburn and a number of tourist park buildings for the Runyang Expressway near Nanjing in China.
Industrial Projects include a Laboratory for plastic surface treatment research for the CSIRO and a Warehouse Expansion and our current Blow-Fill-Seal project for GlaxoSmithKline.
Our latest projects see us continuing a long relationship with CSL Limited in Parkville where we have completed new laboratories for the various research modules that make up the R&D department. In addition we have designed a multilevel carpark that will serve the Parkville site for many years into the future. Our most recent works for CSL are the Cell Culture Facility for the R&D department and the Privigen Production Extension, both at the CSL Behring Site at Broadmeadows north west of Melbourne.
